How to make a Star.

via kylewpppd, howstuffworks:

How are stars formed?

  1. Disturb clouds of gas using nearby gravitational phenomena, repeat until gas begins to clump together.
  2. Next, rotate and collapse clumps until flattened.
  3. Continue rotating flattened disc faster and faster, material will pull inward.
  4. Heat will produce helium and energy out of hydrogen atoms.
  5. Step back, wait millions of years.
  6. The bipolar flow will soon erupt from the protostar (see step 3) and blast away all remaining gas and dust (see step 1).
