Ghost Loft - Blow
Promising Los Angeles producer Danny Choi dropped this new track in my box the other day. You’re not going to have any trouble getting your hips undulating to the rhythm; this beat is set to the frequency of passion.
Brand new project with just one other song up. Hear his other single “Slowdowntime” on Sndcld.

So who here turned on the TV last night (
does anyone but me still pay for cable?) and HBO was playing the Scorsese directed “George Harrison: Living in the Material World” documentary and you decided to blow off your friend, sort of melted into the couch and lost three hours of your life and it was the best choice ever.
YOUTH LAGOON - JULY - Charles Bergquist and Sezio capture Youth Lagoon’s studio session of their Best New Track “July”.
I admittedly can’t get enough of this song right now…

The Year of Hibernation is out today (!). Trevor Powers’ Youth Lagoon is absolutely worth looking into if you’ve somehow caved yourself in from music over the past few months. The album takes in soft discourse to open throughout each track, but it’s when the anticipation finally reaches & the song dives into its spinning flourish’d nature that keeps you pressing play long after that first listen. Making the purchase for Youth Lagoon’s album should be as easy as making a purchase at a show after a mind-blowing performance; it’s the same feeling here. The album is still available at Fat Possum.

Last time we heard from James Cooley, the 23-year-old Coloradan sent along an incredible song called “The Coyote”. IMHO, this song’s even better. Hold on to your seat!
Says James, “I’m self-taught and can’t read a note of music. I record everything in Audacity. I went to college for audio engineering but dropped out. I’ve been bouncing around and living in different cities the last few years working retail & grocery jobs and spending my free time recording. I’m not sure where I’m headed now, and I’m damn broke but having a fantastic time for sure.”
Look for his The Coyote LP to be released this spring.

How about some delicious dream pop from London for your hump-day, huh? This five-piece is ripe for blossom given the solid craftsmanship and juicy melodies laid bare right here.
Stream the 7” b/w the softer, sadder “Amour” up on their Sndcld or pre-order it on wax from Fear & Records.
