1) Crawling into bed for the night… also, that’s my arm in the upper-frame, Erica wanted me to point that out… she thought it looked strange. 2) Curiosity lands safely!! 3) Xander and I goofing around while Erica picks up her color prints. 4) Despite my working at the office for over a year now, this was day one of my orientation. 5) Celebrating the day we first met at LACMA. 6) Earlier in the day Gino had burned his back on a seatbelt… which, because I have a twisted sense of humor, I found funny… here he is reacting. 7) Xander and Erica on their way to Michigan… it never gets any easier.

1) Hanging out underneath our xmas tree - talking about all the weird things we used to imagine lived in the branches of xmas trees when we were both young. 2) Importing really, really old hi-8mm tapes of me and Tim goofing around… he’s going to kill me for sharing this. 3) Hanging out with Bobby at Ikea. 4) Lydia reassuring Erica her first attempt at buckeyes were successful in taste if not in style. 5) Relaxing under the trees during lunch break. 6) Alone at work over the weekend - listening to iTunes very loudly during renders. 7) Waiting for the lunar-eclipse to happen infront of the Griffith Observatory.

Erica, Xander and I tried a new hiking trailer starting closer to the Griffith Observatory this time - instead of our usual Runyon Canyon loop - the hiking trails in Griffith go off in every direction! We were excited because we keep coming back to the same parking spot and hike a new trail every time.

I love taking trips to the Griffith Observatory - especially to watch the Center of the Universe show in the planetarium dome… when the lights first go down and the stars come out, projected in all directions, I feel 8 again. It makes me happy. 

1) Driving past the Hollywood Bowl underneath my favorite tunnel of trees while listening to some Miike Snow. 2) Surprising Vu - or so we thought, he had uncovered our surprise-plot before arriving - at the Stinking Rose for his birthday. 3) Taking Rachel and Aaron to the Griffith Park Observatory to watch the magical planetarium show. 4) Getting some work done in the conference room. 5) Just returned from picking Mandy up at LAX, Nick and Erika had drove into town just a few hours earlier and were waiting back at the apartment. 6) Someone needed a jump at the North Hollywood Ralph’s. 7) Taking photos with the family infront of the Hollywood sign. The plan was to hike all the way to the top of the sign, but due to the extreme heat and that three of us were still suffering from sunburns we skipped the hike up in lieu of Menchie’s frozen yogurt.

I didn’t get to go along on this hike as I’m still a baby and recovering from my Santa Monica sunburn. But I’m hoping to take my sister and Aunt to this trail soon when they get into town. Also, I love that you can see the Observatory off in the distance (left of frame). 

1) Everyone was ducking and running to their cars - for whatever reason there was a dangerous cloud of bees going crazy near the Back of America in Toluca Lake. 2) Stretching Erica and trying not to laugh too loud at her suggestive moaning. 3) This record player was a wedding gift for my Grandparents on my mother’s side - we brought it with us when moving last November. It takes a few minutes for the motor to spin at full speed - so you get this strange barely slow-mo playback; for Starship, it seems like an improvement. 4) Maeby yawning and settling into an afternoon nap. 5) Mailed a coded message to a studio down the street that interviewed Erica and I for their hide-and-seek show… so far, we haven’t heard back. I’m an instigator. 6) Driving through my favorite tunnel on our way to the Griffith Observatory with Eric and Melanie. 7) Buying shoes in Burbank… I made sure to include this in my 7x7 because it will be another 4 years before I give in and replace my shoes. I wear shoes till they are ducked-taped together.

Made an impromptu visit to the Observatory last Sunday with Erica, Melanie and Eric. Sadly, the sky was too overcast for the telescopes to in operation, but at least the doors were still open; the three times I had been before I was never able to peak inside at these. Amazing machines.
