A couple of weeks ago, Erica Hampton launched a super tiny project ($20 goal!) to create a series of decorative origami spheres called Kusudami. The premise was pretty straight forward. For a $5 pledge, get a homemade Kusudami — a reward level that proved unexpectedly popular, to the tune of 25 total backers. A bit more work than they anticipated, maybe, but hopefully it’s as fun for them as it is for us when we receive colorful images of pretty paper piles, like the above, in their project updates. We’re smiling.
